Landscape Production Manager

The Landscape Production Manager oversees daily operations of landscape installation projects for commercial and residential clients, ensuring efficiency, quality, and timely completion. They manage 3-6 teams of installers, overseeing scheduling, design implementation, equipment maintenance, and safety compliance. This role requires strong leadership, problem-solving skills, and experience in landscape construction.

Responsibilities

Project Management:

  • Plan, organize, and supervise landscape installation and maintenance projects.
  • Ensure projects are completed on schedule, within budget, and meet quality standards.
  • Review project specifications, drawings, and timelines to prepare for efficient execution.

Team Leadership:

  • Manage and mentor field staff, including crew leaders and technicians.
  • Schedule and assign work to crews, ensuring proper allocation of resources.
  • Foster a culture of safety, professionalism, and teamwork.

Quality Assurance:

  • Conduct regular site inspections to ensure work meets company standards and client expectations.
  • Address and resolve any issues or deficiencies promptly.

Client Communication:

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients during project execution.
  • Provide updates, address concerns, and ensure high levels of client satisfaction.

Resource Management:

  • Coordinate equipment, materials, and labor for projects.
  • Monitor inventory levels and ensure timely procurement of materials.

Safety Compliance:

  • Enforce adherence to company and OSHA safety standards.
  • Conduct safety training and regular site audits to ensure a safe work environment.

Administrative Duties:

  • Maintain accurate records of project progress, labor hours, and material usage.
  • Prepare reports for management on project performance and resource utilization.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in landscape management or a related field.
  • Strong knowledge of landscape construction, horticulture, and maintenance practices.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and project documents.
  • Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in project management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.

    Preferred (Not Expected) Certifications

    • NCMA Certified Segmental Retaining Wall Installer.
    • ICPI Certified Paver Installer.
    • OSHA 30-Hour Certification or equivalent safety training.
    • Irrigation and/or pesticide licensing (state-specific).

      Working Conditions

      • Outdoor work in various weather conditions.
      • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physically demanding tasks as needed.
      • Occasional weekend or evening work to meet project deadlines.
